How is this different from the sales where you rent a table and sell your items? |
|
The Big Red Wagon Kid’s and Maternity Consignment Sale is very different! You register as a Seller, prepare your stuff, price it, tag it, drop it off, and wait for your check. THAT’S ALL THERE IS TO IT!!! You do not have to spend your time sitting at a table selling your items. There will be 1000’s of square feet of organized space with racks of hanging clothes, a toy area, baby area, maternity area, children’s furniture area, etc…much like you would see in a department store. |
How often do you have sales? |

There are 2 sales per year at each sale location…one in the spring and one in the fall. |

Can I bring a guest to the preview sale? |
|
As a Seller or Volunteer, you will receive two passes. You can bring anyone you would like to the sale. |
Can I bring my kids to the sale? |
|
With 6 kids between us, we understand that childcare can be difficult to find. You are welcome to bring your children; however, we do ask that they stay with you at all times and they do not play with the toys or in the clothing racks. Since this is a consignment sale, the items do not belong to us. Thank you in advance for you help and understanding. |
Can I bring my wagon or stroller to the sale? |

Yes. As you enter, there will be someone at the door tagging your wagon or stroller so it will not be confused with the ones for sale. However, please bring a laundry basket to place your items in while shopping. We want to make every effort to keep all merchandise clean since the items being sold do not belong to us. |
Can I return items? |
|
Due to the nature of the sale, there will be no returns. |
Can I try on items? |
|
No, there will not be a place to try on items. |
Can my husband work instead of me? |

Do you have to be a seller to attend the preview sale? |
|
No. If you would like to get a pass to the Preview Sale, all you have to do is sign up to Volunteer for one 3 hour shift prior to the Preview Sale. Volunteer registration for non-sellers will open 2 weeks before the sale date. Spaces will be limited. |
How can I shop early? |
Sellers and Volunteers can shop at the Preview Sale that take place the evening before the sale opens to the general public. Providing space is available, we will open volunteer shifts for non-selling volunteers two weeks prior to the Preview Sale.
There is also a Preview sale for New & Expecting Moms. Spaces are limited and you must register to attend.

How do I carry my items while I am shopping? |
|
We suggest you bring a laundry basket to carry the items you would like to purchase. All bags will need to be checked at the door. |
How will the items be organized? |
|
There will be 1000’s of square feet of organized space with racks of hanging clothes organized by gender and size , a toy area, baby area, maternity area, children’s furniture area, etc…much like you would see in a department store. |
Is there an admission fee? |

There is no admission fee. |
What payment methods are accepted? |
|
We will accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and Debit/Check Cards. We DO NOT accept checks. |
When is the sale open to the public? |

After the sale, how do I find all of my items? |
|
When you return to pick up any unsold items, they will be sorted by Seller number. You will not have to sort through any piles to find your items!! We will also have “Big Red Wagon’s” and carts available to help you take your items to your vehicle. |
Can I hand write my tags? |
|
No. All items must be logged in to your Seller’s account. This will allow you to print all of your tags with barcodes. We will be using barcode scanners at checkout so Sellers will be able to track every items that sold, did not sell, what sold at half price, and what was donated. |
Do I need to be present for the entire sale? |
|
Not at all! Many Sellers come back to shop at the sale to find great bargains. However, you are not required to attend the sale at all. |
How can I become a seller? |
|
To become a Seller, first select the correct sales location. Once seller registration is open, you will be able to create your Seller account and begin entering your items. |
How do I check for recalled items? |
|
Before attending the sale or dropping off your items, please take the time to check out recalled items at www.cpsc.gov. We do our best to screen for recalled items; however, we will not be held responsible for items that have been recalled. |
How do I participate in the half off sale? |
|
As you are entering in each item into your Seller’s account, you will be asked if you would like for this item to be sold at half price. If you check yes, it will be sold for half price during the half price sale. If you do not check yes, we will leave it on the sales floor to be sold at full price. Please Note: Do not write anything on the tags. Our scanners will not pick up this information. If you forget to check the half price box, you will need to reprint your tags. |
How long will it take to drop off my items? |
|
Depending on how many items you have, it could take anywhere from 25 to 35 minutes. |
How should I price my items? |

How will I know what sold? |
|
We will be using barcode scanners at checkout so Sellers will be able to track every items that sold, did not sell, & what sold at half price each evening of the sale. |
If I forget to check half price or donate when printing tags, can I just hand write it on my tags? |
|
No. The scanners at check out will not read hand written information. And the computers are not set up to allow us to override hand written information. If there is hand writing on the tags, we will not be able to accept those items at check in. |
Should I iron my clothes? |
|
Wrinkled clothes do not sell well! We will likely send them home with you if they are extremely wrinkled. Please do what is necessary to make your clothes look clean and nice. The better the look, the better they sell, the more you make!! |
What if I want to donate my items? |
|
No problem!! We will handle the donation on your behalf. You will send you an itemized list of all the items you donated along with a tax receipt from the charity we are working with for your tax purposes. |
What type of hangers should I use? |
|
Use plastic or wire coated hangers. |
When will I be paid? |
|
The checks will be mailed within 5 days of the sale. |

Can I be a Website Sponsor and Exhibitor? |
|
Absolutely! As long as there is not a similar businesses that has already committed. |
What is the difference between a Website Sponsor and Exhibitor? |
|
A Website Sponsor has their business logo and link on The Big Red Wagon website for 6 months. Website Sponsors are able to track their web traffic from our site to the their website. An Exhibitor rents a booth space at the sale and is able to market directly to the buyers at the sale. Both Website Sponsors and Exhibitor can choose to place a promotional item in The Big Red Goodie Bag. See all the details under "Advertising". |

Can I bring my kids while I work my volunteer shift? |

For safety reasons, children are not allowed during Volunteer shifts. |
How can I become a volunteer? |
|
There are 2 ways to register to be a volunteer. If you are a Seller, register through your Seller’s account. If you are not a Seller but just want to volunteer, you can register through the “Volunteer Registration” button. You can find this on the sale specific pages. Please note: If you are not a seller, your volunteer shift must take place prior to the Preview Sale if you plan to attend. Volunteer registration for non-sellers will open 2 weeks before the sale date. Spaces will be limited. |
