Quality Control
What is Quality Control?
Each item dropped off is inspected prior to being placed on the sales floor for stains, odors of any kind (this include cigarette smoke and musty smells), excess wear, broken zippers, missing parts, items without batteries, etc. It is not unusual to find items, especially clothing, with stains that you would not see at home due to the lighting in the buildings. Any item that does not pass quality control will not be placed on the sales floor.
How will I know if my item was pulled?
If an item is pulled for quality, there will be a red “X” on the price tag. While we do our best to make sure that only items not meeting the above criteria are pulled, unfortunately there are items inadvertently placed on the sales floor that should not be and items placed in quality control that should be on the sales floor. While this represents a very small percentage, these errors do happen. This is a difficult process as there are tens of thousands of items that come in for drop off. Our goal is to have the best quality sale as this is what bring shoppers through the door and gives The Big Red Wagon sellers the best opportunity to have their items purchased!
