How It Works

Selling your stuff with The Big Red Wagon is simple!  Gather all the new or like new things your kids, (baby to teen) have outgrown or no longer use.  Don't forget to include any maternity items as well!  As a Seller, you will be assigned your own unique seller account where you will enter and price each item you would like to sell.  Price tags will be generated from the information you enter and you attach these price tags to each item!  Drop your items off during your scheduled drop off appointment and that’s it!  Keep reading to learn about how easy it is to earn money with The Big Red Wagon! 

Sell your stuff where buyers shop!^®

Each sale there of thousands of buyers through the door!  They line up early and many shop each day of the sale!

Make 60-75% of what you sell! 

As a Seller you will earn a minimum 60% of your total sales. A $25.00 Seller Fee will be is deducted from this amount. You will also receive two passes to shop early at the Preview Sale! Here’s how it works to earn more:

REFERRALS...Your $25.00 Seller fee will be lowered to $10.00 with THREE referrals and you will receive an additional 5% of your total sales for each referral. Here's how it works:

Referral #1:  Seller fee reduced to $20 and you will earn 65% of your total sales.

Referral #2:  Seller fee reduced to $15 and you will earn 70% of your total sales.

Referral #3:  Seller fee reduced to $10 and you will earn 75% of your total sales

Make sure your referrals put your name down when they register. Please Note: Each referral must bring at least 50 items or a total value of $100 or more to the sale.  You are able to combine referrals and volunteer shifts!

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS...Your $25.00 Seller fee will be lowered to $10.00 with THREE volunteer shift and you will receive an additional 5% of your total sales for each volunteer shift. Here's how it works:

Volunteer Shift #2:  Seller fee reduced to $15 and you will earn 70% of your total sales.

Each shift is 3 hours.  If you volunteer, your Preview Sale Passes will be upgraded to shop earlier than anyone!!  You are able to combine volunteer shifts with referrals!

You Price It! You Tag It! We Sell It!^®:

You determine the price and tag the items you are selling.  There is no negotiating like garage sales during the sale.  You also earn a higher percentage of your sales than you would at a consignment shop.  You determine whether or not you would like your item to be part of the half-price sale day.  You can also decide if you would like your unsold items to be donated.  It’s all your choice!

Bring a little, bring a lot, bring it all!  There is no limit to the amount of good conditioned items you can sell!

Easy to use online tagging/tracking system

Enter and tagging your items couldn’t be easier!  It’s all automated.  When you register as a seller, you will be assigned your own, unique seller account.  This is where you will enter your items, print tags, schedule volunteer shifts and drop off appointments, and track your sales each evening of the sale.

Minimum Item Requirement

You must have a minimum of 50 items or a total value of $100 or more to be a seller.  If you have a referral, they too must meet this minimum requirement. 

Enter Once, Sell at All!

Enter your items one time and sell your stuff at all The Big Red Wagon sales during the season. 

Drop off your items, The Big Red Wagon does the rest!

Prepare your items, drop them off, and collect your check…THAT IS IT!!!  We advertise, organize, work the sale, clean up, and donate your unsold items on your behalf (unless you would like to pick them up after the sale.)

Pick up your items after the sale.

You can pick up your items after the sale if you are not donating them.  There will be a set time for pick-up.  If you do not pick up your items during that time, they will be donated on your behalf. 

Donate your unsold items & help local families in need!

We will be donating unsold items to charities.  The items that you donate directly impact the community.  The Big Red Wagon's request of charities is that each item donated goes directly into the hands of local families in need!  You can choose whether or not you would like to donate your items.  If you do select donate, we will send you an itemized list of your donated items for your tax records along with a receipt from the charity. 

What is the Preview Sale?

The Preview Sale takes place the night before the sale is open to the public. As a Seller, you will receive 2 passes to shop during the Preview Sale.  Volunteer just one shift and your 2 Preview Sale passes will be upgraded to shop even earlier (and you will earn a higher percentage of your sales!).   You will also be able to participate in the Half Price Preview Sale.  This will take place the last day of the sale before the sale opens to the public!  Not all items are marked half price!

Quick Payment

The checks will be mailed within 5 days of the sale.
